Hi, I’m Catherine Kelly. I’m a singer, stage actor, director, and music professor. I first caught the “performance bug” in my hometown of Dunn, North Carolina. When I was 12, I had my first-ever theatre role: I sang and danced my eager little heart out as an unnamed ensemble member in a production of Bye Bye Birdie. Since then, I’ve been hooked on the stage - a theatre monster. I’ve been fortunate to enjoy a career that has led me to stages across Europe and the east coast of the U.S.A., and I often reflect back to my theatre education that started right here in Harnett County. I wholeheartedly thank the performance art educators of Harnett County for providing a strong foundation for me. Locals don’t need to travel to the Triangle to see great performances. They’re happening right here. Hope to see you at a show soon!
